Initially I didn’t know if we could afford the extra expense of a doula and I wasn’t sure how I felt about someone else being there. Now I know that we can’t afford to not have a doula and that we needed someone else there to support us.

I understood how a doula could support my wife. What surprised me was how much I needed one as well.

We were a little anxious in the weeks leading up to the birth. Each time Jessica would stop by we felt excited and confident after she left.

At the hospital she was very perceptive and compassionate. She knew exactly what we needed even when we didn’t know ourselves.

Having a baby is a big deal. Jessica helped make it a positive experience that will leave us with good memories instead of being traumatized.
